My Favorite places to eat in downtown winter park!

The Best Eats in Winter Park, CO: My Favorite Spots

Winter Park, Colorado, isn’t just a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts; it’s also a fantastic spot for food lovers. Whether you’re craving Pad Thai, a hearty Italian meal, or a quick bite after a day of adventure, this mountain town has something for everyone. Here are my favorite places to eat in Winter Park that never disappoint.

Buddha Garden

If you’re in the mood for curry and Asian fusion cuisine, Buddha Garden is the place to be. Their creative take on curry, pad thai and flavorful drunken noodles make this a go-to spot for something a little different in the mountains. I always make sure to try one of their specialty rolls and enjoy the cozy, inviting atmosphere. My go to is the Green Curry with Veggies.

Deno’s Mountain Bistro

A long running staple in Winter Park, Deno’s Mountain Bistro is known for its delicious steaks, gourmet burgers, and impressive wine selection. It’s the perfect spot for Aprés drinks and snacks after a long day on the slopes or trails. Their relaxed yet upscale vibe makes it great for a date night or gathering with friends. I love their red wine on tap and Mediterranean Mezze Platter.

Casa Mexico

For authentic Mexican flavors and a laid-back atmosphere, Casa Mexico is a must-visit. Their fajitas, enchiladas, and homemade salsas are always fresh and full of flavor. Plus, their margaritas are the perfect way to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Winter Park. I usually get the Veggie Fajitas and have plenty left over for the next day!

Hernando’s Pizza Pub

No trip to Winter Park is complete without a stop at Hernando’s. Known for its unique decor covered in dollar bills, this local favorite serves up some of the best pizza in town. Their hand-tossed crust and generous toppings make every bite satisfying. I recommend trying their famous “Hernando’s Special” for a true taste of what makes this place special. This is one of the busiest restaurants in Winter Park so call ahead to make a reservation and they can accommodate large groups. Gluten Free pizza and a salad is what I always get here.

Rudi’s Deli

For a quick and delicious lunch, Rudi’s Deli is my go-to. Their sandwiches, soups, and salads are fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re grabbing a bite before hitting the slopes or looking for a casual lunch spot, Rudi’s never disappoints. Pro Tip: order online and pick up so you don’t have to wait. I like the Veggie Sub .

Fraser Hot Dog

Sometimes, a simple hot dog hits the spot, and Fraser Hot Dog does it right. Located just outside Winter Park in Fraser, this spot serves up tasty, high-quality hot dogs with a variety of toppings. It’s a fun and casual place to grab a quick meal, especially if you’re on the go. Be prepared to eat outside and you can grab a beer or hard seltzer at Hideaway Brewery - they share a patio! Or you can eat inside Hideaway Brewery if you order a drink. Try the Carrot Dog! My husband like the gyro with bleu cheese. And the fries are good, too!

Final Thoughts

Winter Park has plenty of great dining options, but these six places are my personal favorites. Whether you’re in the mood for curry pizza, Mexican food, or a simple but satisfying hot dog, you’ll find something to love in this mountain town. If you ever find yourself in Winter Park, be sure to check out these spots—you won’t be disappointed!
